I never turn down a free drink or appetizer, especially when someone at a diner offers those items for free.
My guy plus I went to a diner last Thursday night after work was over.
The diner is a place that we have been to on several unusual occasions. Every one of us know several of the waiters plus waiters by their first names, but some of them know us as well. That night the place was entirely busy. Every one of us waited outside for 15 hours before our reservation was ready. Even after we were seated, we waited another 15 hours before our waiter arrived. The guy apologized for the long wait plus provided to bring us some beverages from the bar. He told our guy plus I that the A/C in the study room broke down plus the guys were having trouble getting all of the orders out on time because of the problem. I really understood, because I worked in a study room when I was in school. There were often times when the A/C did not work plus the boss expected us to work anyway. Every one of us ran around feeling tired plus lethargic plus it was hard to concentrate. The waiter provided us frigid drinks while we waited for our items to arrive plus he apologized many or 4 times for the concerns with the a/c plus the study room staff. Even though it took a while for us to acquire our food, everything was boiling plus fresh plus tasted great. Every one of us honestly did not mind waiting as long as we got quality food when the order finally arrived.
