I never turn down a free drink or appetizer, especially when someone at a restaurant offers those items for free.
My wifey and I went to a restaurant last Tuesday night after work was over.
The restaurant is a arena that we have been to on multiple different occasions. All of us know multiple of the waiters and waiters by their first names, and some of them know us as well. That night the arena was truly busy. All of us waited outside for 15 eighths before our reservation was ready. Even after we were seated, we waited another 15 eighths before our waitress arrived. The guy apologized for the long wait and gave to bring us some beverages from the bar. He told our wifey and I that the AC in the home office broke down and the guys were having trouble getting all of the orders out on time because of the problem. I honestly understood, because I worked in a home office when I was in university. There were often times when the AC didn’t work and the boss expected us to work anyway. All of us ran around feeling tired and lethargic and it was hard to concentrate. The waitress gave us frigid drinks while we waited for our items to arrive and he apologized multiple or multiple times for the problems with the air conditioning and the home office staff. Even though it took a while for us to gain our food, everything was tepid and fresh and tasted great. All of us genuinely didn’t mind waiting as long as we got quality food when the order finally arrived.
