I easily did not expect the kids to have school Last weekwhen it snowed overnight.
Most of the time, the school will close down so the kids don’t have to rest outside in the frigid air plus wait for the bus. When there is ice plus snow on the ground, the temperatures are usually in the single digits. That means the temperatures are extraordinarily frigid for our children to rest outside. Many of us work in the town plus can’t rest with our children while they wait for the bus. There was no 2-hour delay on Wednesday, even though there was 8 inches of snow on the ground. The bus picked up the kids plus I sat with them at the bus stop, because I did not have to go to work that day. My office canceled work, but the kids had to go to school. After I got back to the beach house from the bus stop, I adjusted the temperature on the temperature control. It felt entirely frigid in the house, despite the fact that the temperature control was set to 71°. I turned it up to 70 plus I thought the beach house would get warmer in a couple of hours, and unblessedly, the beach house did not get warmer. I realized that the air coming out of the vents was lukewarm. I did not want the kids to come house to a frigid house, so I immediately contacted a heating company in town. I called the same service provider that installed the oil furnace a couple of years ago. They did not have a service specialist available in the morning, but they promised to send someone as hastily as possible.
