It is an aged oil gas furnace that has been servicing our lake home for almost 20 years now. It has honestly given its entire life to make sure that I was comfortable. Only well taken care of heating & cooling systems will last close to 20 years until the fact that mine lasted that long tells myself and others that I must have been doing something right & that makes myself and others genuinely cheerful. However, I was unhappy to see our aged one go. I was equally happy to get a brand new one. Since I have had our aged one, technology has evolved as you might imagine. With new technology now available I have more chances than ever to get an advanced Heating & A/C system. I had decided to go down to our local heating & A/C company & take a look at all their Heating & A/C units that they had available. I decided to look at some a/cs but I wasn’t interested in purchasing an A/C machine just yet. For right now, I was just focusing on the heating system & they were not short on any Heating & A/C products. They had gas heaters, fireplaces, radiant heated flooring & of course your average central gas furnace. I knew I would have to do some research before ultimately deciding what would substitute our aged gas furnace. But the one thing I did decide to get that day was a smart thermostat, no matter what it was going to run off a smart thermostat.
