I had heard many good things about the air conditioning business I was applying to.
This was a company that had trained and qualified numerous cooling specialists.
It had a reputation among homeowners for offering quality and efficient services. I applied for the air conditioning expert position at the company. As I researched the interview process they used, my stomach was turning from anxiety. Their interview processes were extensive and scared off so many applicants. When I received the callback, I was very excited. Mum encouraged me that I would ace the interviews. The interviews started by being shown several cooling products, and we had to mention their name, how they function, and whether they require any air conditioning tune-up. I was very familiar with the cooling equipment, so I felt like I aced the first round. The more I advanced in the rounds, the more complex the questions got. The interview also had some practical sections. I was requested to outline the steps involved in replacing dirty air conditioning filters. As an upcoming a/c rep, I had replaced many filters, so this question was a breeze. One of the more challenging questions that might have given me anxiety was being asked to illustrate and outline the steps of air conditioning repairs on a heat pump. Another tough question was to list the things to avoid when doing an air conditioning installation. There were also questions about the cooling technology, which was my favorite thing when learning more about air conditioning. The goal was to show my understanding of air conditioning systems and land the job, which is what I did. Though the interview was intense, I aced it.
