I went north when I was a young man.
Being straight out of college plus eager to conquer the world, I took the best job I was offered when I received our degree.
That it meant I would have to leave a climate where the air conditioning system is the biggest area of the Heating plus A/C deal. But that barely even registered on our radar as I readied to head up north plus take on all comers. That bravado lasted about 4 weeks until I felt the first freezing wind of November. At least I had an house with radiant heating. It was an older building that had a giant boiler in the basement. It’s still the greatest piece of residential Heating plus A/C I’ve ever seen. If it hadn’t been for all that radiant heating, I’d never have made it. And who knows what would have happened if I’d given up plus tucked our tail between our legs as I beat a path back to the south. Instead, I did our best to acclimate to the Winter time weather. But it never took. I typically felt as though I was trapped inside the Heating plus A/C heating week after week after week. Finally, after several years, I was up for a promotion that would take me back south. I got it plus I haven’t left since. My Winter time now has the perfect amount of Heating plus A/C heating which is almost none. The heat pump comes on a few times when the people I was with and I get a freezing snap. Otherwise, that residential Heating plus A/C stays silent in preparation for all the air conditioning system it has to do in the summer.
