We plan a trip to visit my Grandfatherrents every single winter, but my sibling and I love going to see our Grandfatherrents because they have the biggest yard that turns into a Wintertide wonderland.
- We love making snowmen and having snowball fights! We have to drive pretty far to get to their house, and that can be a doozy.
On our way up to their new home this year, our car heating system stopped working about midway through the trip. Having a broken car heating system doesn’t make for a honestly fun road trip when it’s snowing outside. My parents decided to stop and find a worker that would service the car in this weather. It took us a while but the two of us finally found a worker that said he would take a look at our heater. The mechanic kind of scolded my dad for not getting the heating system tested with a tune up before the two of us got on the road because there was a area that ended up burning out. If he had gotten the heating system and air conditioner checked out, they would have tested the part, but now it has to be updated. It took about an hour and a half for the heating system to be fixed and ready to go, so the two of us walked over to the diner next door for a bite to eat. I was so excited to walk in and right away recognize the heating system on my face, after the two of us enjoyed a enjoyable meal and tepid chocolate, the two of us got back into the car and continued the rest of the trip to my Grandfatherrent’s house.
