It was another summer of HVAC cooling savings

Its’ so nice to be done with summer again. This is the time of year when I can walk out of my home and not hear a heat pump droning on and on. The heat and humidity of summer is intense in this area and there is simply no denying that fact. However, I have a strategy that helps me deal with the heat and save money on the air-conditioning. There was just no way to be able to manage the heat of summer in this region without a HVAC cooling. It’s simply essential to have good residential HVAC equipment or you’re going to be behind from the beginning. Plus, it’s so important to get the air conditioning tune up in the spring. This sort of HVAC maintenance ensures that the heat pump is ready for the demand and is operating at peak efficiency. It’s also important to really seal up the house so the HVAC equipment is working at its most efficient. Covering up the windows to stop direct sunlight heating is also a vital element when it comes to any HVAC cooling strategy. However, it really all comes down to the thermostat setting. If you can’t keep the thermostat discipline for 4 months of heat season, it’s going to get expensive. This is why we wait to start the air conditioning. This allows our family to acclimate to the climbing temperatures through the spring. And that makes the summer heat seem less intense and more manageable. This way it’s much easier to have a thermostat setting in the low eighties during the worst heat of the day. And saving money on air conditioning is sure important with the rate of inflation just hammering all of us.
