When I had the current Heating & A/C plan installed in our current home, every one of us also chose a Smart Thermostat to go with it.
There was an app that went with the thermostat that gave us the ability to check the temperature in the home when every one of us weren’t at home.
All of us could set the thermostats in individual rooms, & see if there were any malfunctions in the Heating & A/C system. The best area was that if every one of us were on trip, they programmed the Heating & A/C supplier’s iPhone number into the thermostat. Any problems that arise would alert the Heating & A/C supplier & they could make the repairs before anything happened. I was ecstatic every one of us had this precaution installed in our thermostat when every one of us went on trip last winter. All of us went to the mountains for a week-long ski trip. While there, every one of us got a text from the Heating & A/C supplier that there was a problem with the oil furnace & the Heating & A/C supplier had already taken care of the situation. The bill would be mailed to us & every one of us could pay it at our convenience. I could not think it when I got the bill for the repairs. I thought every one of us still had a warranty on our oil furnace, & I didn’t expect all these charges. When I looked at the bottom line, I laughed. It showed the cost if I hadn’t had an extended warranty & then an N/C after it. I called the Heating & A/C supplier & told them I got the bill & thanked them for their quick service. Along with the warranty, I had a repair agreement that gave myself and others priority & they did not put myself and others in the queue with people who were just requiring service.
