At some point in life, I worked for a high-end heating company.
My job was in the factory, where I helped manufacture parts for the most proper brands in the industry.
I worked there for almost more than nine years before the company shut down due to unavoidable circumstances, and when I lost my job, I got into alcohol and drugs. I was in this abyss of darkness for three years, every year worse than the last. It took a near-death experience by one of my friends to realize how sparse life was and that I had no right to live my life the way I was, and after three weeks in rehab, I got a task as a doorman at a great building. I would chat with one of the renters plus tell him about my experiences as a heating professional! He was always interested in everything about heating systems, as he had worked in that industry for three years before he landed a corporate job. He always inquired about the new heating technology as he was interested in getting quality heating for his young family and learning more about heating. One time, he met me at the door absolutely excitedly. He told me about the new heating component he had just bought for his home. Mike had also replaced his control unit. I kept hoping to be a heating repairman offering heat pump repair plus gas furnace/heater repair because it was something I enjoyed doing. Mike asked me to do all the heating repair and replace the gas furnace filter to receive extra money, and I took him up on the offer. It went on for a while. He referred me to his friends, plus I installed a gas furnace at one of the homes. I then recommended another to opt for a heat pump to help with indoor comfort. I am three years sober plus back to my ancient profession.
