It was about 8 pm when we all arrived at our lake house.
The drive had been long and we were all pretty tired.
I kept wondering who had thought it was a good idea to rent an RV and go on a road trip. But I admit this was only happening because of sheer exhaustion. We had the best time as a family, and made some wonderful memories with the kids. However, we were all grateful to be back at home. And the best part was my partner and I still had 3 days before we had to return to work. When we arrived back home, my partner went to check on the AC. We’d left the thermostat set on vacation mode so we knew the lake house would be nice and cool when we arrived. Instead, we found it to be hot and muggy because the AC failed. My partner took a look at the thermostat and realized it wasn’t the reason for the faulty AC. Since it was late, we got these three portable ACs we had in the RV and turned them on inside the lake house. Everyone went to bed soon after and it’s not until the following morning that we called the HVAC company for help. The HVAC company we use offers excellent service and always has someone at the house within an hour or two. On this day, the HVAC repair person arrived an hour and a half later to fix the faulty unit. It turns out we had a nasty air filter which was blocking air flow in the house. Everything was back in order after he replaced it with a better quality air filter.
