Every year, tons of people travel during the holidays.
I am consistently away from my residence during the holiday as well, as I normally head up North to celebrate.
I live in the Southern space of the country, as well as I am yet to get used to seeing Christmas lights everywhere on the palm trees. Don’t get me wrong, they consistently look fantastic but for some odd reason, seeing them never sat well with me. It’s especially strange when it’s 73 degrees outside as well as there are Christmas lights on the trees. Perhaps it’s because I grew up in the North as well as the holidays are supposed to be cold in my opinion, not 73 degrees outside. Anyway, when I travel, I usually have to decide how to set my thermostat when I am gone. The recommendation for the optimum thermostat setting in the Winter season is 73 degrees when I am home, even though I never fully understand how to set my thermostat when I am away! So, I improvised as well as lowered the temperature on my thermostat to 65 degrees. I am not entirely sure if my HVAC machine cycled on during the mornings I was away. If I had a programmable or a Smart thermostat this would be much more straightforward to control. Since I have not gotten a single of those thermostats, I have to set mine the old-fashioned way. In the future, I will invest in a Smart thermostat because it would help to better regulate the temperature in my residence, not to mention that it would also save currency as well as I won’t ever have to be thinking about how to set my thermostat when I leave for a trip.
