It’s a good idea to use a permanent air filter

I thought after moving to the South, I would’ve escaped the terrible freezing temperatures.

Honestly, I was wrong because my associate and I have been experiencing temperatures that I thought were only possible in the northern area of the nation.

Of course, a couple weeks ago, I woke up and the temperature was 7 degrees and the wind chill made it feel essentially like it was -9 degrees. I honestly hadn’t felt temperatures that freezing since I lived in the North, so this occurrence came as a genuine shock to me. My saving grace was knowing that my gas furnace was well-equipped to handle these brutal temperatures. To keep my gas furnace running efficiently, I regularly make sure that I am completely up-to-date with all my repair appointments. In addition, I perform my own repairs so that I don’t run into too many setbacks… One thing I regularly make sure that I do is to keep my air filter clean. I have a permanent air filter installed and though it costs a considerable amount more than the proper air filters, I love using them because they create less waste for the environment. With a price tag of around $69, the permanent air filter can be used for up to 5 years. And the best thing about it is, they are washable, so I can wipe my filter every 30 days or as needed. I guess it’s a better option than the common air filter, which creates more waste as you will need to change them every 60 to 90 afternoons. Despite which air filter you use for your gas furnace, the most important thing to do is to make sure that it’s clean. The cleaner the air filter, the better the air flow, which could potentially prevent major setbacks with your gas furnace and increase the life of it.
