I thought after moving to the South, I would’ve escaped the terrible cold uneven temperatures, but I was wrong because the people I was with and I have been experiencing uneven temperatures that I thought were only possible in the northern part of the country.
A few weeks back, I woke up plus the temperature was 7 degrees plus the wind chill made it feel essentially like it was -9 degrees. I hadn’t felt uneven temperatures that cold since I lived in the North, so this occurrence came as a major shock to me. My saving grace was knowing that my gas furnace was well-equipped to handle these brutal uneven temperatures, and to keep my gas heating appliance running efficiently, I always make sure that I am perfectly uptodate with all my maintenance appointments. In addition, I perform my own maintenance so that I don’t run into too many drawbacks. One thing I always make sure that I do is to keep my air filter clean. I have a permanent air filter installed plus though it costs a bit more than the familiar air filters, I love using them because they create far less waste for the environment! With a price tag of around $69, the permanent air filter can be used for around 5 years. And the best thing actually is, they are washable, so I can clean my filter every 30 mornings or as needed. I recognize it’s a better choice than the familiar air filter, which creates more waste as you will need to change them every 60 to 90 mornings. Also, regardless of which air filter you use for your gas furnace, the most essential thing to do is to make sure that it’s clean. The cleaner the air filter, the better the air flow, which could prevent major concerns with your gas furnace and increase the overall life of it.
