When mom called in tears, I knew there was something wrong. She told me she couldn’t live alone anymore and asked if my offer for her to move in was still open. I told her to let us know when she was ready, and we would have her room ready for her. She wanted to know if the following weekend would be too soon. The room was ready, but the bathroom was finished, and we needed HVAC in that area. I called my husband and told him mom was moving in ten days. He told me to grab the list of things we needed for the bathroom, and I needed to call the HVAC company and have them install the ductless HVAC system in the room. I then called my brother-in-law and asked if he was busy this weekend. I explained the situation and he said he would be over early Saturday morning and they could have the bathroom installed by the end of the weekend. We were in a mad rush to get the bathroom done, but the HVAC technician couldn’t get here until the Thursday before mom arrived. It surprised me at how quickly the HVAC was installed.
