Okay, so in truth, I was hesitant from the start when it came to selling our cottage. I just didn’t want to move and that’s the simple truth. I detest and always resist change. I like to get up in the morning, adjust the thermostat and hop in the shower. Then, I like to get ready for work and get to the office. I do my thing inside the commercial Heating and A/C of the office all afternoon and then it’s back to our cottage for dinner, rest and off to sleep. I have loved repeating that routine so many times in the decades that we lived in that cottage. But I knew my spouse was right about selling it. For one, the chances of their being this wonderful real estate market again in the next few years wasn’t likely. And we had always viewed this house as the greatest of our investments. So this was the payoff and we needed to act. I got on board, however I was dragging my feet the whole time. Like when the realtor came up with several crucial improvements like replacing the Heating and A/C unit and putting in modern room appliances. These were going to be cost outlays that I wasn’t prepared to cover. I pushed back and we put the house on the market as it was. It sat there and the only offers we acquired were well below market value and our asking price. So, I contacted the Heating and A/C professionals to have them help us out of this mess I put us in. They did install just the best in residential Heating and A/C that came with all sorts of cool Heating and A/C technology. We had an offer above the asking price within a week after making those improvements.
