Sickness can be one of the worst things I encounter.
My energy comes and goes as my body tries to fight off the flu infection I have.
I’ll have bursts of energy followed by times when I’m so tired that I want to climb into bed and sleep for hours. Maybe I’ll write two more articles and then take a nap to rest up before doing the last 30 minutes of work for the day. Luckily, I don’t have to go to work for 10 hours doing some boring office task while I stare at the clock and wish it was 6 o’clock. As an engineer at a large Heating and Air Conditioning company, I used to make air conditioners and furnaces at my desk. I was making a lot of money, but I didn’t like being stuck in a cubicle all day, looking at emails and writing reports. Heating and cooling systems are necessary in this world, but I will let someone else do that work while I get to be free and on my own. I moved overseas more than 2 years ago to do songs and comedy, and I’ve never once regretted my decision. I miss hanging out with my mom by her gas fireplace and talking about life, but I can not cling to her forever and I need to live my own life because she will die one day. That’s going to be a bitter pill to swallow, but I think I’ll learn to live without her in the end. I wish you great luck.
