My parents home is a modular, it was built 8 years ago when my associate and I first moved to the northeast.
There are many pieces that make up a modular.
The pieces are put together and set on a foundation… With a modular home you can either choose one of the home plans that they have designed, or for a little more money, you can design your own home. That is what my parents did. They like the home that they designed but there are some things that they wish they did differently. The rooms in the home are much smaller and I don’t recognize they realized the actual size that it would come out to be… Plus the modular company that they went with didn’t do a wonderful job finishing the house. During the winter the home can get pretty frigid in certain parts! My home office is coldest since it’s in the front of the home and it faces most of the drafts, however also my home office has a pretty sizable window from the rest of the house. During a frigid day you can feel the breeze coming through my window. The dealers did not insulate the windows in our home genuinely well. I feel like my associate and I are losing so much heat and energy during the winter, not to mention the more energy that you lose, the more money that my parent’s will be spending. I recognize they want to call a bizarre contractor in to see if they can insulate our home more so we’re not losing so much heat.
