Swapping out the central HVAC system for mini splits

My house is pretty old! It is almost a hundred years old, in fact, and I find it to be quite Charming.

It is near the historic area of our city, but it is not considered a historic building that must get all improvements approved by the historic committee; then anyway, I am ecstatic about that, because I am considering replacing the central heating and cooling idea with several mini split units throughout our house! The reasons for this are multiple! First of all, our HVAC component is getting legitimately old and inefficient. It is a wonderful HVAC system, but all mechanical things wear out, and that includes air conditioners! My HVAC serviceman has told me that it will be difficult, if not impossible, to get parts for our HVAC idea in about 2 or 3 years. The manufacturers simply stopped making those HVAC parts when they considered the HVAC systems entirely should be replaced anyway. I could also just replace the whole HVAC idea with another 1, but many times now I have had to replace the air duct in our house Because critters have gotten in the crawlspace and torn up our ducts. I am sleepy from doing that, so a ductless A/C component has a peel. In addition, I would like to be able to use a/c in the guest living room only when it is needed. If I have guests, and they have a mini-split A/C in their room, they could adjust the control component to whatever they want, allowing them to be more comfortable. In addition, I have a formal living room and a more comfortable and laid-back kitchen. I am only 1 single person and cannot be in both of those rooms at the same time. In fact, 1 is in the back of the house and the other is in the front, then having mini split units could allow me to have legitimately quiet a/c running in 1 room while the other 1 simply has no A/C on, however plus, mini split units are infancy, easy to install, and infancy to install, and easy to repair.
