I was feeling pretty messed up lately.

Feeling like I was getting the flu or something.

When I went to see the doc I found out that I was perfectly fine otherwise and that I was having air quality issues in my house. This was why I wasn’t feeling well. It turned out that the solution was simple. I did not need any whole home air purification system or anything like that. I did not even need to get a bunch of portable air purification systems. No air purification systems needed at all. The answer was to get better air filters for my central heating and air conditioning system unit! This was what was causing the bad air quality in my home. I went out to buy high quality air filters of the HEPA brand and started using those. This was the complete answer to everything. Within 48 hours of using them I could already tell that the air quality in my home was improving. And within the first week the air quality was normal again and I was feeling better. If only I had known that getting better air filters for my central heating and air conditioning system was going to be the answer I would have done it a lot sooner. Getting good air filters for your central heating and air conditioning system and changing them out once a month is very important to retain great air quality. I will be doing this much more from now on so this won’t happen again.

I think I was a real lucky person the other day. The day began with my central heating and air conditioning system unit breaking down! I called the local heat and a/c company to schedule a heating and cooling specialist to fix my central heating and air conditioning system. Usually I always get the same thing happening, which is that they can not have someone out till the next day. But I got lucky! They were able to have someone out by the afternoon to fix my central heating and air conditioning system! This was wonderful news as it was my day off from work and I could not have afforded to really have to take the next day off to wait for the heating and air conditioning company to come to fix my central heat and a/c unit. So it started out as a very bad day and ended up being a good day! You can not say that very often when your central heating and air conditioning system unit breaks down on you. It is usually a bad day that lasts into the next unless you pay double for emergency heating and air conditioning home services. But that was not even a needed option because they were not super busy and able to have someone out that very afternoon. I do not think I have ever got lucky with a heating and air conditioning system unit break down like that in the past. I would not ever take such a thing for granted.

I was so happy to find out that my local heating and air conditioning company was going to be moving right around the corner from me! They were relocating to a bigger business building and the one that they chose was this building up for lease that is right around the corner.

By having the heating and air conditioning company closer to me this means that if I have a real heating and cooling emergency, I can call them and not even have to think about emergency heat and a/c home services.

Because if I call for heating and air conditioning repair, as long as they are not backed up at all, they can get to me within a matter of minutes. This is really going to be a good thing. Also the fact that they are right around the corner means that if I ever need to buy any kind of portable heating and air conditioning equipment I can go right over there and do so without having to have them bring it to me. Everyone should be so lucky as to have their heating and air conditioning company right around the corner from them. I would have never imagined that such a thing would ever be possible. But luck had it that they picked that building right around the corner from me. I will be looking forward to this all going into effect in the next month or so. That is when they are planning to make the move and reopen up after a brief hiatus.

I know I was told a million times to change the air filter of my central heating and air conditioning system at least once a month.

Well, I totally ignored this fact for a while now.

And as a result my central heating and air conditioning system unit has broken down. It ended up overworking itself and the ductwork got mega clogged up. I had to call the local heating and air conditioning company to send out some certified heating and air conditioning specialists to repair my central heating and cooling system and then do a deep ductwork cleaning of my HVAC unit. This cost me a pretty penny! I was pretty disappointed in this and mad at myself for letting something like this happen. But now at least I learned my lesson and moving forward I will be changing the air filter to my central heating and air conditioning system unit at least once a month so something like this will never ever happen again. I can not afford these kinds of heating and air conditioning home service repairs. And on top of the heating and air conditioning home service repairs, I also needed to get the heating and air conditioning system’s ductwork cleaned! That was pretty pricey as well because it was what is called a deep ductwork cleaning. Not the same as a standard ductwork cleaning. Boy oh boy will I never ever let this happen again! It was a financial nightmare! Not to mention it was a major hit to my bank account as well. I still feel really dumb in this happening.

I have always felt that gift cards are a lousy present.

• There is something cold and impersonal about giving someone a fake credit card with money on it, money that can only be used for one particular thing.

If you give someone cash for a present, they can spend that cash however they choose. If you give them a gift card for an online retailer, they have very little recourse. They have to spend that card at the one store, or else it has no value. Last year my brother gave me a gift card to the local HVAC contractor, which I thought was a terrible gift. This isn’t even the HVAC business that I choose to handle all of my work, it was some new company I never heard of before. I looked on the company website, and was delighted to find that this company sold both new and refurbished HVAC equipment. They did operate a storefront, which had hundreds of different pieces of HVAC equipment on display, and for sale. I took my gift card to the shop, with the intent of finding a nice dehumidifier. I actually wanted an air purifier as well as a dehumidifier, but I didn’t know how it would cost to buy both at once. I found one model that combined both of those devices, which meant it purified the air as well as removing the excess moisture. It was a little more than I wanted to pay, but because of the gift card I got this air purifier for a very reasonable price.

I knew Tom from when we both went to grade school together.

• Over the years Tom had built a reputation for his construction jobs.

When I had saved up enough money that I could afford a home of my own, I called Tom about helping me build it. I wanted my own original home, a place unsullied by other human beings. Tom was the guy to help me, a general contractor who knew a lot of other contractors that could help. Although it wasn’t cheap, it was no more expensive than buying an existing house, and in the process I got something special. I knew that my dream home would need a special ventilation system, due to the nature of my work and my hobbies. I do a lot of painting, and these paints often contain toxic chemicals, so the art studio needed to have a dedicated ventilation system. I could not have the ductwork connected to the rest of the house, it needed to lead directly outside. This way the air quality in the main house would never be corrupted. Also, I wanted to have an open Florida Room with natural ventilation, for growing my pot plants. A Florida Room is a screened in room that provides ample natural ventilation and limited sunlight, which is perfect for my plants. Of course my dream house also needed an excellent central HVAC system, with heating and cooling provided for the rest of the rooms. Basically, the house needs to have three different ventilation and climate control systems for different areas I must have. .

There are a total of six employees at this company. Working together with the same people all day, everyday breeds a high level of familiarity between us. After a couple of years we seemed less like a work crew and more like a family. For better or worse, because families tend to fight. We have actually had more than a few fist fights on work sites in the past, although never in front of clients. At least the boys have the good sense to box each other in private and not stand next to the HVAC work van under our logo. I wouldn’t put it past them, like most HVAC techs the guys can get pretty rowdy. Even Betty, who runs the office and drives the van sometimes, is a bit of a roughneck. The HVAC industry is traditionally male-oriented, and Betty has to be double-tough to make her way in this business. What the other guys don’t know is that even while she works full time she is taking night classes for her own HVAC certification. She confided in me that she didn’t want to be a secretary all her life, she wanted to make better money as a certified HVAC tech. I approved of her plan, and even helped pay for her first round of HVAC prep courses. In a few more months she will surprise her coworkers by showing up as a certified HVAC tech. I think Betty will have a long and prosperous career, because being the only female HVAC tech in the area will make her stand out.

Home services

No one ever liked coming over to my house during the spring or the summer, because I didn’t have air conditioning. This was a very old house, built decades ago during a time when nobody had AC in their home. It was part of the reason I was able to buy it for such a low price, because nobody else on the market wanted a house that had no climate control in it. I won’t say it was the easiest place to live, but it was a good house and I was happy here for a long time. Finally I am preparing to move, and so I decided it was time to finally install an air conditioner. My friends were curious as to why I waited so long, and why I was bothering with an HVAC system at all since I was moving. I had to explain to them that it was an investment. I wasn’t getting a central air conditioner so that I could enjoy it, I was getting one so that I could raise the asking price for the place! Let me break down the math, and it will all become clear. This house is not very big, so I was able to secure a brand new air conditioner and furnace for less than three thousand dollars total. To me 3 grand is a lot of money, but it was an investment. With the new heating and cooling system, I could now ask a whole lot more for the house. When my boyfriend said that he was going to take me away for the weekend, I told him that I wanted to go to a place that had a jacuzzi bathtub.

That was easily one of the most important things to me.

I told him that I also wanted to stay somewhere that had a room service menu. I’ve never stayed in a place that had room service and I thought it would be really neat and interesting to visit a place like that. My boyfriend made us reservations at a hotel and casino. The hotel was for me and the casino was definitely for him. We checked into our room and the concierge desk person took our bags up to the room. When my boyfriend and I realized that there was not a jacuzzi tub in the room. We immediately went back downstairs to the front desk. My boyfriend didn’t even want to call. He said that we were going down there to make sure that we got what we paid for. The front desk person apologized and said that he did not see that part of the reservation. The room was ready. The guy had the front desk bellhop take our things up to the room and she asked us if we wanted a complimentary bottle of champagne for the trouble. I was not expecting the guy to offer us champagne. Our room was really luxurious. We had our own ductless HVAC unit with a separate thermostat control. The remote control allowed us to change the temperature from any place in the room. The ductless HVAC unit and the jacuzzi tub made the whole trip awesome.

My husband and I were thinking about buying a window AC unit.

• He wanted to buy the window AC unit from the hardware store, but I wanted to buy the machine from an online retailer.

We looked at a lot of different products online and actually found a used heating and air conditioning system that was in pretty good shape. The guy only wanted $100 for it and the retail price on the heating and cooling equipment was easily twice that amount. My husband thought we were getting a good deal too, even though he tried to blame me when the situation went south. The heating and air conditioning system worked for a day and the very next day it stopped. It never worked again. My husband tried to make repairs, but nothing that he did seemed to work. He’s a pretty handy guy, so I think he would have been able to figure out the problem. I decided to contact the person that sold the machine to us. My husband said there was absolutely no way that the guy was going to give us back our money. I wanted to prove my husband wrong and show him that people are generally good, so I decided to make the call. I emailed the guy and he did not respond, so I actually made the phone call. His wife answered the phone and I think she was probably the reason why he decided to refund our money. I was happy that he did, but my husband still believes that he didn’t have to give us a refund in that situation.
