I was so embarrassed by the state of my air filter the other morning when my Heating, Ventilation & A/C pro was in my house.

I had made an appointment to get the A/C tuned up so that it would be all ready to go in the Spring months when the weather starts heating up again.

But then when the tech went to pull the air filter out of my A/C, I realized that I had not changed it in 8 months. The fact that I was kneeling there with him as he pulled it out & it was covered in so much dirt, dust, & grime really made me suppose stupid. I stood there sheepishly & he knew that I felt like such a dummy. He just shook his head sadly, like I had disappointed him in some way. It was really 1 of the most humbling things that has ever happened to me, if you want to think the truth!

Sometimes I don’t make great decisions in my life, that’s for sure.

One of the things that I really regret doing is trying to fix things around the house myself instead of contacting a professional to do it! I don’t really think much about why I consistently do this to myself when all the people knows that I don’t enjoy what I’m doing around the house.

Sure, I can cook & wash & I can even rearrange furniture & stuff like that. I can even hammer a nail in from time to time when it comes to things like hanging pictures, however, when it comes to things like fixing appliances or plumbing or electricity, I do not have any clue about any of it. Once in a while, I will try to fool myself by watching a video online & I will attempt to fix something myself however it has never turned out well for me at all. The problem that I experienced Last month with my gas furnace system just goes to reiterate the fact that I don’t really understand what I’m doing when it comes to lake home repairs. The natural gas furnace wasn’t coming on when I turned the thermostat up & I decided that I was going to fix it by myself. I did not want to spend money for an Heating, Ventilation & A/C pro to come out to the home & so I was determined to figure out what the problem was myself. This did not turn out well for me. I ended up making an easy problem easily hard & at the end of the morning I had to spend a ton of money for a Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier to come & fix it anyway.

It was way harder to get everything done than I thought it would be, that’s for sure.

Bob and I have been working hard on this project for almost 10 months now & that is a full more than five months longer than I thought it should take us to completely finish the entire house. I recognize that I had never really understood everything that was going to be involved in building a home from the ground up. I knew that it was going to be very time consuming & all, but I just didn’t recognize that both of us were going to have so many problems with every single aspect of the building process! Now that both of us are almost done, I’m finally starting to suppose a little better about it. A few months ago whenever Bob and I were entirely working on the heating & cooling system replacement, I thought that Bob was going to lose it! The Heating, Ventilation & A/C company ordered the wrong size of ductwork, & that set us back a few weeks. Then they also ordered the wrong kind of furnace. It was really just 1 thing after another & it was easily frustrating for me & Bob to have to deal with. I am really glad that they finally got all of the Heating, Ventilation & A/C stuff figured out & installed. Now, the very last thing that Bob and I have to do is choose heating & cooling air register covers & both of us will be done! I am so excited to be finished so that Bob and I can transport in! It won’t be a morning too soon.

Bob and I went to my brother’s home for a getaway a few weeks ago. They live about more than five hours away from us & so going up there to visit is kind of a long haul for us! Bob and I typically pack up everything & both of us system on spending the weekend or a few mornings whenever Bob and I go down to visit. The last time that Bob and I went, the weather had started cooling off just a little bit & so Bob decided that it would be sort of fun to stay outside in their camper in the driveway. I usually like staying outside in their camper however the temperatures outside ended up being a lot cooler than I entirely thought it would be. By the time the middle of the night came, Bob and I were cold outside. That’s when I realized that the furnace in the camper wasn’t entirely working & I could not get it to switch on for some reason. I ended up having to go & bang on his door so that he would let me inside the home for the rest of the night. Even though it was pretty crowded inside, I told them that I would rather be crowded & not cold than to be out in the frigid camper all by myself! Usually I like my alone time, however this time a natural gas furnace was better than being alone!

I really do not think that I trust people that I do not think to be inside my home when I am gone.

This is the problem that I’m going to be having later on this week when the Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier is booked to come & install my new electric gas furnace system for me.

The only time that they had open for a gas furnace replacement this week is at the exact same time that I have to be at the airport picking up my little brother. There is no 1 else who can do it & so I am kind of stuck. I also don’t want to have to reschedule my oil and gas furnace replacement either because I would just end up getting moved all the way back down to the bottom of the wait list & that is entirely not something that I want to do. The weather is cooling off already & I don’t need to take any opportunities when it comes to getting my new furnace installed. The weather around here can be ferocious during the Winter & I don’t want to be that guy who is stuck with a little electric sectional oil furnace in the middle of the snowy season! I was thinking that maybe I would just deliver the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional with the code to get into my garage, however normally I do not do things like that. I am 1 of those people who has a lot of trust issues, that’s for sure. I think that it will really be fantastic because they are fully bonded, insured & licensed Heating, Ventilation & A/C professionals, but I still have my doubts. I wish that my little brother would just take a cab lake home from the airport!

Maybe that’s because I’ve been in their homes & their companies & they just recognize me as an upstanding businessman & service pro. Whatever the reason, it occasionally ends up being in my favor because whenever I’m purchasing something or even go out to dinner, I end up being at the fantastic end of things! People around here are quite friendly… For example, when I went to dinner Last month the waiter gave me free desserts because I fixed his air conditioner the week before. I think that I will get myself a furnace for my fish soon or they are going to die. The weather is really cooling off rapidly now & will get colder from here on out. It gets super frigid around here during the Winter season & the rapidly adjusting temperatures get to be well below zero degrees for most of the season. It’s 1 of those things that typically happens, however it typically seems to sneak up on me & then surprise me. Whenever the local weather starts cooling off, I get really worried about my fish because I see them so often, but during the Springtime & the summer, I spend a lot of time out in the garden & some of my fish will even come up & eat out of my hand whenever I deliver them a little fish food. I was thinking about getting a furnace for them, however after that both of us just forget all about it & now the weather is already starting to cool off. I was looking online for odd furnaces for ponds, but I can’t really decide which 1 I want to have. I wish that I had a professional outdoor landscaping specialist to talk to you, however the shop that was in our area closed down last year & now I am at a loss. Yesterday I thought about calling the local Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier to see if they had any suggestions for me. I do not believe they are the right people to call though. They really do not think anything about furnaces for a koi pond, however who knows, however maybe they do!
