It’s not that I can’t stand my mother in law, it’s just that she is tough, tough to deal with and she really doesn’t like me too much. From the moment I met her inside the quality heating and air of her big home, I was sort of deemed unworthy. That stung but that designation stuck but simply got worse once my wife said yes to my proposal. Still, it is what it is and she’s family. I’m thrilled that her daughter is my partner in this life and we are enjoying it. We’re lucky to have a nice home with great air conditioning equipment. That’s something you just have to have around here. While the fall, winter and spring can be spectacular, the heat of summer is a killer. So you’re heat pump better be right. That’s why we invested in the best residential HVAC with the most HVAC technology we could afford. When my mother in law moved closer to us, she didn’t heed our advice on the heat pump. She decided to inherit the one that was there and it promptly took the dirt nap right in the middle of summer. But my quick thinking HVAC professional, whom I’ve known for years, brought in 3 portable air conditioning units. That woman was already packing to move into my house for a month while she waited for the new HVAC unit. Man, I tell you, I’m so thankful my HVAC buddy had my back. He didn’t even charge her for the use of those portable air conditioners. I bought him a case of the beer I know is his favorite for that beautiful move.

Perhaps, when you have demanding careers and are raising a family together, you don’t make each other the priority quite enough. It seemed like we got into this routine and just couldn’t get out of the loop. Mornings are like herding cats in order to get inside the zone controlled HVAC of the office on time. Then, it’s work all day while texting each other on who is doing what with the kids and dinner and all of that. We get back to the quality heating and air of home only to still be trying to get so many things checked off the list. And then, it starts all over again. The weekends are mainly focused around the kids but we might squeeze in a date night every 6 weeks or so. It dawned on both of us that this just wasn’t enough time together. So chose to join a gym together. We for sure needed to make our health and fitness more of a priority and we’d be doing it together. So we made that commitment to each other and it’s been terrific. Not only are we getting to be just us sharing a passion 3 or 4 times a week, it’s changing our lives as well. We’ve more energy and are just sort of more locked into making the most of each day. We’ve changed things up for the better and now we have air purification giving us the best indoor air quality possible.

I can’t imagine my life without HVAC cooling. When you live where I do, you have to be ready for the heat. If you can’t deal with that then, it might behoove you to find a different region to call home. In fact, I see it quite often with folks who’ve visited during our glorious fall, winter and spring and then move here. They are so amped to have traded out the gas furnace for the heat pump that they can barely stand it. Then June rolls around and the bill comes due for that 8 months of perfect weather. From June through September, it’s a blast furnace down here. The temps can just sit right at the threshold of the century mark. And for a lot of people, four months of that is a deal breaker. I’ve seen those same people who left the gas furnace behind spend one summer down here only to pack it up and move back home. It’s that kind of thing. Either you manage those four months of heat and humidity well to enjoy the perfection of the rest of the year. Or you don’t. But without HVAC cooling, I would probably have to leave and I’m a native of the region. The heat pump makes our home and offices comfortable. Yet, it’s not just the cooling that the heat pump is offering. The HVAC cooling process also provides serious comfort in the home and office by balancing the humidity levels as well. That sure makes a difference during this time of year. But we’re halfway through heat season now so things will be looking up soon.

We are fortunate to live in nice home with great quality heating and air. There’s a pool and my wife and I even have a little study or quiet place in the basement. That was an interesting project that we took on together. The kids are in highschool now and they’re awesome. They don’t need a ton of monitoring and it’s great that they like to have their buddies to our house. So we were always trying to make ourselves scarce. It dawned on us that we should make a space for the two of us. We called the HVAC company for an assist once we put up some interior walls. They came out and installed a ductless heat pump inside the new room that we had carved out of the basement. Our basement doesn’t have HVAC. This ductless heat pump was so nice that it inspired us to really go with it on our new room. We’ve both been getting into the yoga classes at the gym. So this awesome spot has a chill, meditative vibe. And the heating in cooling are simply perfect. It’s so funny now that we have this new spot, it’s hard not to want to get down there and chill out. Shoot, I’ve walked to the basement to open the door to our quiet space when I thought nobody was home only to find my wife already in there. And sure enough she’s blissed out with the ductless heat pump remote in her hand.

I’m just so glad that I finally got this right. Getting in shape has been a circuitous path for me. I have tried many times to change my lifestyle to make good food, exercise and plenty of rest an essential in my life. And it pretty much went the way you are probably already guessing it did. It wasn’t so great and it was always sort of the same cycle. But I knew I had to stop going from sitting inside the zone controlled HVAC of the office to then sitting in my air conditioning at home. It’s like sitting is the new smoking. So, I’d make this great big effort and just amp out for like 3 weeks, get sore and frustrated for that entire time. Then, it’d be like “that’s good” and I be right back to the recliner with the HVAC cooling pumping and the beers ice cold. That was my heaven and I just simply wasn’t willing to give that away. Shoot, I would even stay sitting in my recliner and change the thermostat setting with the smart thermostat app on my phone. That’s just the epitome of lazy. Finally, I knew it was time to get help with making health and fitness a priority and just a lifestyle of choice. That’s what ultimately made my 3 weeks of effort continue and move forward. These days, I’m even strengthening my respiratory health by swapping out those paper HVAC air filters for a HEPA filter. This HEPA filter remove more than 99 percent of airborne contaminants. I’m getting so healthy that I can hardly recognize myself.

But, some of those folks are family plus I have to visit them inside the air conditioning system of their homes. But the cost of all the air conditioning system during our blazing summer time can damage a household budget. So when I caught myself whining about the high cost of air conditioning system, I decided to do something instead of just go on plus on about it. Interestingly enough, it wasn’t too tough or work intensive. And I’m saving just over 20 percent on Heating plus A/C cooling costs over last year.

I went north when I was a young man. Being straight out of university plus eager to conquer the world, I took the best task I was provided when I acquired our degree. So the two of us haven’t had all that much luck when it comes to family vacations over the last various years. Of course, the last 2 Summer the two of us had to opt for a stay at home vacation plus then a camping trip the next year. That’s all thanks to Covid of course. And prior to that, the two of us had done our normal beach trip. Still, not all that great.
