I might surprise you to know that when my central air conditioning system stops working it took me a little while to realize that it has stopped working.

This is because it has always been cold in my house, there has always been a certain coolness to it and this is mostly due to the age of the home.

There are a lot of drafts, and I live in a colder area and so it isn’t uncommon for a lot of the cold air to seep into the home. This is something I’ve been wanting to fix for quite some time now because every winter when all that cold air starts coming through the house not only becomes freezing cold, but it also makes my furnace have to work extra hard just to keep the house toasty warm. Normally by now I would have had an HVAC technician come over and examine my heating system and have it taken care of, but recently I just haven’t been able to afford the funds that it would take to have my furnace repaired. That was until I discovered that my local heating and AC business offered HVAC service plans that I could sign up for. By signing up and paying for the service plans it allowed me to get some extra services that I normally would not be able to afford. Now I will not have to worry about having cold air flowing through my home. I plan to seal up the drafts I have my heater taken care of.

Today I came across a little surprise. I found a forgotten ductless mini AC split system. I saw some grocery shopping and I happened to walk around the side of the building. I noticed that somebody had just left sitting there right outside the dumpster. It was still in the box and it looked to be in good condition. I went over to the box and opened it and examined the AC inside and saw that it was in nearly perfect condition. Apart from a little dirt on the outside box, it looks like it should still work. I just had to add it to my car and take it home with me. I already finished my grocery shopping and so all I had to do now is go home and try it out. When I took the duck with me to the split air conditioning home I took it out of the box and took a closer look at it. There didn’t look like there was even a spot of dirt on it! I couldn’t believe this but I would just go and leave a perfectly good air conditioning system out there for the trash. I decided to take it out and give it a good cleaning just in case, and then once it hits thoroughly dry I plugged it in to see if it worked. I was very happy when I saw that it worked perfectly. I have been wanting to get window air conditioning for somebody. Now I would have no need to go out to the local heating and AC business and buy one, when I got something even better, a ductless mini split air conditioning system, for free.

If you have ever used a few standing purifiers when you have bad indoor air quality you will know that they are great for clearing up mild indoor air problems.

But what if you have problems that are much greater than that? What if you’re having problems with your indoor air quality in your entire home and not just one room? Simply put, standard air purifiers can only do so much.

I had a friend that lives in an area that had in general poor air quality and so as a result the air in their apartment was also poor. The air in the whole area was really polluted, they were able to fix the problem by using a standing air purifier in each room. A standing air purifier can only fix one room at a time, so a better solution if you need something for a big job would be to purchase a whole home air purification system from your local heating and cooling business. These air purifiers are meant to control the indoor air quality of your entire home. The only downside is that they can be fairly costly, but if you can manage to get your hands on one they’re a great thing to have. As long as you have one you’ll never have to worry about problems with your indoor air quality. Before you rush out and buy a whole home air purification system though, make sure that it isn’t your HVAC system that is causing you to have bad air quality. Make sure your heat and AC has been tuned up and maintained regularly by the heating and cooling technicians.

Today has been a really great day for me because I just got a brand new air purification system. After saving for over 3 years, I finally have enough money to purchase a whole home air purification system. Before this I have just been using a few standing air purifiers but they didn’t do enough for me. Sure, they did help some but it’s still causing me to have poor indoor air quality. I had one of the standing air purifiers in the kitchen, one in the bedroom, and one in the dining room. I never liked from the very beginning of having to have all these different air purifiers in different rooms, I always figured it’d just be easier just to have one air purification system that runs through the entire house. So once I purchased the whole home air purification system I got in contact with the nearest heating and AC business and they sent out some professional cooling guys to come out and perform the installation. I wasn’t sure what to expect when the heating and AC guys came out, but I was figuring that the installation would take a long time. However, to my surprise the installation only took a few hours and then my brand new whole home air purification system was ready to use. It was guaranteed to get rid of my poor indoor air quality and I couldn’t wait to give it a try. I knew that from that day forward, I wouldn’t have to worry about bad indoor air anymore.

My daughter has always suffered from allergies.

As a parent, I wanted to do everything I could to ensure that she had the best quality of life possible and so I started doing research on what could be the cause of her allergies.

There are many things that come up, from different types of irritants to even some medical conditions. So I decided to take her to a doctor to have her evaluated and see what was the specific cause of her allergic reactions. When we turned to the doctor the doctor determined that she didn’t have any specific medical condition but just that she had a high sensitivity to things like dust, pollen, and dirt. The doctor then said the best way that we could get rid of her allergies would be by removing the source. In this case it would be that dust, pollen, and dirt. He recommended we do this by doing a couple of things. One, he told us that we should clean our house more frequently. Don’t give dust time to collect so that way we’ll have a mostly dust free environment. Secondly, he told us that we should go and purchase a HEPA filter or some sort of similar type of air purifier for my local HVAC business. He explained that we could use a standing air purifier, the HEPA filter or even both if we wanted to. We decided to follow his instructions and we cleaned our house from top to bottom and then purchased a HEPA filter. Within a couple of weeks, the allergies had disappeared.

My son has been having some bad luck recently.

First his girlfriend broke up with him, and now he’s having trouble with his air conditioning system.

I asked him what was wrong with his AC unit and he told me he didn’t know because he hadn’t had a heating and an AC specialist came out to examine the air conditioning system. I will sit down with a few heating and air conditioning companies nearby and tell him that he could have an appointment with one of them. He told me that he wouldn’t check it out. When he called me a few days later he told me the worst of news. His air conditioning system was on its way out! According to the HVAC technician who came and visited his home he says that it would need multiple parts replaced in order to be able to function properly. He was hoping that there wasn’t a problem with his AC at all and that it was just a thermostat but unfortunately for him the heating and cooling technician confirmed that the problem was his AC and not his thermostat. He told me what his plan was and that he was just going to go out and buy a window air conditioning system until he can afford to get it repaired. I told him that there was no reason for him to have to go out and buy a window air conditioning system. I have a spare one that I could loan him. He was elated when I told him this and I told him I’d be over in a couple hours to drop it off at his house. He was thrilled and I pulled up in his driveway and brought over the AC from the window. I stepped into his house and it felt like an oven in there! He thanked me, but hey what are dads for?

Today I went to replace my old space heater.

I have been using a space heater for the last 3 years instead of using my central heating system, before that I was using a gas furnace but I just didn’t care for the gas furnace as much.

I found the space heater to be far more convenient, the only downside was that it only heated one room and the one I had didn’t last me too long. So it didn’t take me long before I was going to have to replace it. Thankfully replacing it was very easy, I had a local heating and ac store that wasn’t very far from my house. In fact it was so close I could walk there, so I decided to do just that. I decided to walk over there so I could save some gas money. I walked over to the heating and AC store and picked up a new space heater. This was a newer model of space heater and so I had to take some time to figure out how to use it. Thanks for the instructions were simple and in no time I had it set up and running in my home. The weather outside was super cold, but winter was going to be approaching soon. I wanted to make sure that I had something to keep me warm well before the cold winter months came. The space here may only heat up one room but that was all that I needed. The one room that did heat up was nice and toasty and I can easily sit back and relax and enjoy the heat for hours. I got really lucky with the space heater, not just because of how great it works but also because when I had picked it up I got it at a discount.

The Heating and Air Conditioning worker was pretty straightforward and I typically love that in just about anyone.

I’m the sort of person who just prefers to understand the facts.

I’m not so concerned about implications or emotions when it comes to just assessing the facts before me. All that other stuff can come later after necessary decisions have been made. The Heating and Air Conditioning professional told myself and others that the Heating and Air Conditioning unit in our home was about to die. It had gone for some 25 years so I can’t say I was shocked. He suggested that I contact the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier to speak with the Heating and Air Conditioning contractor about the upgrade to our residential Heating and Air Conditioning. I did just that however I also had a bit of an ulterior motive as well. Happily, I listened to the Heating and Air Conditioning professionals at the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier as they laid out our choices and chances for new residential Heating and Air Conditioning equipment. But inside, I was just taking notes because I wasn’t about to pay retail for the new heating and cooling equipment. I was just using the information from the Heating and Air Conditioning professionals so I could then go find what I wanted at a much lower price. And that’s just what I did. Scouring the internet for months led myself and others to a deranged great price on the residential Heating and Air Conditioning that would update the old Heating and Air Conditioning unit. Plus, I was going to save something care about 35 percent over what the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier price. I obtained the heating and cooling unit and had it shipped to our house. Then, I called to have the Heating and Air Conditioning contractor get the upgrade process underway. He did that with an initial inspection. And that’s when he informed myself and others that the Heating and Air Conditioning unit I obtained for such a great deal wasn’t large enough for the air volume in our home. Ouch.

It’s funny how occasionally the smaller details can end up driving change and being the tipping point to committing to change.

That’s exactly what happened to me.

And I have the not so great quality heating and air of our old condo to thank for that. When I got our first task out of college, I purposefully chose a less high-priced condo in order to save for a house. This was more pressing to myself and others than a overpriced vehicle or an high-priced rental home downtown. Instead, I dealt with loud neighbors, weak Heating and Air Conditioning cooling and cramped quarters in order to keep saving for a downpayment. But it’s just 1 of those things where the goal post kept moving the closer I got to them. This was so frustrating. I was putting in long hours inside the zone controlled Heating and Air Conditioning of the office in order to get to the point where I could buy a house. Yet, I just couldn’t quite get there. It was so frustrating and I was so over the Heating and Air Conditioning situation in our condo that I decided to get creative. And that’s how I ended up pooling our money with 2 other people to buy a house. It’s a large locale with 3 floors so all of us all have our own living space. Plus, when it came to replacing the central A/C, all of us made the decision to go with the ductless heat pumps. It was more affordable since the HVAC duct was shot as well. We also get to have our customized heating and cooling in each living space thanks to the ductless heat pumps.

Man, I knew that selling the house would be an experience.

But I don’t suppose I was actually prepared for what an overwhelming situation that whole deal ended up being. Between laboring all the hours inside the zone controlled HVAC of the office plus trying to get the house on the market, I was overwhelmed. It was savor I was simply dragging myself from 1 place to another in order to just keep going. Finally, every one of us got the projects done that every one of us wanted to do to get the house on the market. There was a fully upgraded entryway, new flooring, a new roof plus all sorts of other details savor painting plus landscaping. In fact, prior to calling to have the listing agent come out for the first time, I told our partner that I had never liked the house more. I was seriously thinking about staying put. And then, the realtor told us that the place looked good but every one of us needed to replace the heating plus cooling equipment. That’s when I almost threw in the towel. More cash outlays were not what I was looking for. Sure, the HVAC component was seasoned but I thought maybe every one of us could negotiate that section at closing. The realtor showed myself and others the data on why the seller always loses on that 1. So every one of us got new residential HVAC plus the realtor was right. We sold the place for a bundle plus I’m so thankful I just did what the real estate professional said to do. It so paid off.
