I do a lot of traveling with my buddy plus family, and my pal and I are always going someplace, and sometimes my pal and I go away for a weekend plus other times my pal and I are gone for a week at a time, and last year for Christmas, my sibling got us the perfect gift for a traveler; Our new smart control equipment has saved us from so several stressful situations and a lot of money. My pal and I are always forgetting to do something before my pal and I leave town. One time, my pal and I left the light on the aquarium for a month, but the fish were so confused! Another time, my pal and I left the oven on plus lucky for us, our neighbors had a spare key, and with a smart control unit, there is no need to worry about what temperature you leave the a/c or boiler on. My pal and I can check the control equipment from thousands of miles away. Once, my pal and I turned the a/c equipment off all the way from the other side of the world. The smart control equipment has saved us so much time plus money. There is no need to miss flights over having to turn around to check the control unit, plus my pal and I are able to safely plus confidently control the temperature of our home from wherever my pal and I are in the world! I feel this is the best gift idea for forgetful people. My pal and I got my parents one for their home plus they love it. They use it to cool plus heat the home from the other room. Last week, I was the guest speaker for my daughter’s class. Her teacher sent home a letter to all the parents, asking for volunteers to speak about their careers. I didn’t think anything of it until my wife suggested that I go. I’ve been an HVAC technician for over 20 years, but I didn’t think the kids in her class would want to know anything about heating and air. When I expressed this to my wife, she helped me see a different side. My wife thought it would be a fantastic learning opportunity, because kids didn’t learn about heating and air on a normal basis. They could experience a hot or cold room, but not have any idea why the air around them felt a certain way. Once she explained this to me, I decided that it would be fun! I put a lot of time into my presentation, because I needed to “dumb down” my message into simpler terms for children. My daughter’s face lit up when she saw me walk into her classroom in my HVAC uniform. I spent time explaining how the air in their classroom was 72 degrees, because that’s what their teacher set their thermostat to. The thermostat on the wall is what decided how hot or cold their room felt. Then, I explained how a furnace produced warm air and the air conditioner produced cool air. The kids were enamored by my HVAC career, and they had a lot of questions about hot and cold air.

I don’t understand why people just can’t keep up with simple cleaning procedures and maintenance techniques.

Whether it be keeping up with plumbing issues or even your heating and cooling system there are simple things that can be done to prolong the life of your heating, ventilation and air conditioning system.

I am a local heating and cooling technician and I’ve been inspecting and cleaning HVAC systems for the past 15 years. The most common issues that I see with heating and cooling systems is the lack of maintenance and simple cleaning procedures that homeowners do not perform. It’s simply the lack of not changing an air filter or having a heating and cooling technician come and inspect hvac systems to make sure they’re running efficiently. Another important aspect is even having a heating and cooling technician perform hvac ductwork cleaning every other year. HVAC ductwork cleaning eliminates viruses and bacteria growing in the ductwork and infecting the home. These simple maintenance and cleaning procedures really help and prolong the life of hvac systems. As a local heating and cooling technician I can’t stress the importance on how critical it is to do these simple maintenance techniques. It doesn’t even have to be every six months, just at least every year or so. You can really tell the difference between homes that are maintenanced every year and homes that are not. The homes that are not maintenanced a whole ton are always calling our office about issues with their system and when I look back at their file they never had any cleaning or maintenance checks done.

I believe that if you choose a reputable brand for a air conditioning unit and a heating unit, it can give you very dependable results and energy-efficient outcomes. I have many locations that have 5 to 6 ton units that have been installed on top of my businesses on the roof by a local heating and cooling technician. I have developed a good relationship with my heating and cooling company and they are the ones that service all of my businesses hvac systems. Considering the fact that I have about two older locations the heating and cooling systems are older. When an hvac unit goes down on one of these older locations or needs a very expensive repair we like to call our heating and cooling technician to you see what decision is best, whether we should repair or replace the unit. My hvac technician has told me that he likes to look at the age repair history to make an educated decision. He also said that any unit over 12 years old definitely should be replaced with a newer heating and cooling system model. My heating and cooling system units have not reached up to 12 years yet and the repair history isn’t as much, so most of the time my heating and cooling technician will just make the repair. I believe that within the next few years I will have to replace the old hvac systems.

Just recently our county has been given a grant where small business owners receive a small portion of that grant to update the interior of their business to become a more affordable one.

At first I wasn’t exactly sure how to use the grant money for my business but I realized when looking back at a lot of my utility bills, I spent a lot of money on electricity and my hvac system. So I decided to use this grant money to replace my hvac system. I spent about a few grand on the maintenance of my hvac system within the past year. There were so many times during the summer and in the winter where I had to call my local hvac technician to come and take a look at my hvac system because it wasn’t functioning as appropriately as it should have been. For some weird reason the air filter needed to be changed 3 times last year, and there wasn’t any connection between the thermostat in the hvac system. This was only two of the many problems I experienced with my hvac system. Not to mention, I found the warranty and the bill for when I first purchased my business, which was about 25 years ago and the bill for the hvac system that was installed with it. Therefore my hvac system is extremely outdated and is probably one of the reasons why my electricity bills have been skyrocketing and why so much money has been invested in just maintenancing my HVAC system alone. I have an appointment with my hvac technician to come next week to install a new heating and cooling system. I’m very excited to compare my bills see how much energy and money have been saved.

Two years ago, I was told that it was time to upgrade my Heating plus A/C system… It was over 10 years old plus it wasn’t running efficiently anymore. I was paying a luck in repairs every month; For numerous weeks, I contemplated getting the warranty for my new Heating plus A/C system. I’d never experienced any dire concerns with my Heating plus A/C systems within a two year period in the past, so I wasn’t sure I’d even need the warranty. I didn’t like paying for things that I wouldn’t use, even if it was just a precautionary thing. I especially didn’t have much money to pay for a warranty at the time either. For some reason, I agreed to pay the extra money plus get the warranty for my new Heating plus A/C system. I believe the universe was looking out for me that morning, because not even 1 year later, my Heating plus A/C system was giving me a lot of concerns. I contacted an Heating plus A/C professional numerous times to service my Heating plus A/C system; Nobody knew what was causing all the concerns, however it seemed like I bought a faulty Heating plus A/C system, then when the Heating plus A/C professional told me that my Heating plus A/C system was better off being upgraded rather than repairing it, I knew I’d made the right decision. I’m so thankful that I bought that warranty, because I wouldn’t have been able to afford a new Heating plus A/C system again, however the first Heating plus A/C system took a hit on my savings account, there’s no way I would’ve been able to afford another one.

This past month has been tied up for him at work and he’s been missing a lot of time at condo with our youngsters. In my world, there’s nothing worse than sleeping separate from air conditioning.

I have to sleep with the cool air running or I won’t sleep as well.

If I’m going to see someone or not able to control the thermostat settings, after that I always sleep with an overhead fan running or I bring my own portable fan. The other night, my worst nightmare came true. I turned the thermostat to my number one 66 degrees and after that I snuggled into bed for the night. I wasn’t asleep long before I realized how hot it was in my room. I turned the overhead fan on, however it felt like it was pushing hot air down on me. I went back to my thermostat and I saw that even though I’d set the thermostat to 66 degrees, the thermostat said it felt like 70 degrees inside. No matter what I set the temperature to, my air conditioning component couldn’t cool. I panicked and called my Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company late at night… He wasn’t able to get to my apartment in the middle of the night, no matter how much money I offered him. However, he promised to be at my apartment bright and early… According to him, I would be his first stop of the morning. True to his word, the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C corporation was at my door at 8am, ready to repair my air conditioning unit. When he was done, he told me that the air filter needed upgraded and I needed more coolant. I’m gleeful it wasn’t anything more severe and I was able to sleep in the cool temperatures again the following night.
