At least my HVAC system is getting a little break during this cooler summer season

I must say that this summer weather has not been very good to us. We don’t usually turn the air conditioning on very often. However this year we have used it only a handful of times. We usually at least need to turn on at night to be comfortable in our homes. However we have not needed it. We have gotten by with the use of some fans. We will use the fans instead of the air conditioning to save money on electricity. It has not even felt like we have needed the air conditioning the air has been so cool outside. I am very disappointed about the weather this summer. I received a tune-up in the spring hoping that the summer would be hot this year. However I am feeling a bit disappointed. The tune up helped me to prepare the HVAC system for the summer weather to come. Our summer weather is usually very warm. So this is why I am disappointed that I spent the money on a tune up for my system. I am hoping that the summer heat comes soon or I will have felt like the tune-up on my HVAC system was for nothing. At least my HVAC system is getting a little break during this cooler summer season. I know that it will last longer since I am not using it as much. The wear and tear the system is not nearly as much as it usually is during our hot summer season. I’m hoping that the air conditioning will fill our house soon.

Recently I moved to the desert area.

It feels much like a desert because it gets very warm there is no grass and I deal with the dry heat. I would say I moved here about a year ago. I am finally feeling like I fit in here. I have adjusted to everything around me. One of the biggest things I had to adjust to was living in my home. When I moved in there was no HVAC system installed. I had to install a brand new system. So I have no idea what kind of HVAC system would work in this kind of area. Luckily my HVAC company was very kind. They sat down with me and discuss what type of system is best for homes in this type of area. They suggested to me a heat pump. The heat pump is good in that it allows you to switch from heating to cooling very quickly. It is also good for this area because the temperatures are not too intense but warm enough to have a heat pump. The heat pump usually uses the warm air already inside and either put it into the house or gets rid of it. I have really enjoyed using it because it seems a lot easier than my central air back home. I have really been enjoying this heat pump because it needs maintenance less often. I really don’t use it in the winter because I don’t feel that it gets that cool. But if it does I can easily switch it to Heating. Back home it was a whole hassle to have to switch from Air Conditioning to heating with the central air.

I have never had the experience of living by a lake before. I have always lived in the middle of the state on dry land. I have never lived near a lake river or even a small pond. My husband got relocated for work though. So now we live near a very large lake. It is very hard to get used to living next to this Lake. It seems like it is so much different. It is far more windy and more humid. I noticed that the potato chips in my home get soggy and my salt clumps. So I had to install a dehumidifier into my home. This is something I had never needed before. I had to call my local HVAC company to inquire about it. I did not know much about it. A neighbor had suggested it to me. They had a dehumidifier installed when they moved into. They said it helped them to adjust to their home a lot more. They also have never had any problems since they installed the dehumidifier. They only have to empty the dehumidifier every once in awhile. The dehumidifier collects the excess moisture and puts it into a bucket. So that’s why you need to dump the bucket out. I am quickly getting used to living by the lake now with my dehumidifier. I had no idea it would be so humid over here. What they say is very true when you live by the lake. I can’t wait for the winter when we get buckets of snow because of how humid it is over here. I am sure I will need to install a nice heating system because I will be stuck inside a lot.

Recently I have been taking a lot of jobs. I am a substitute teacher so I can take jobs as I want them. I really hold no set of responsibility. I always make sure to dress according to what I am going to feel the most comfortable in. I do not want to be too cold or too warm. That could go for a bad day. However, I was put into one classroom that was absolutely frigid all day long. The classroom was so cold. I could not even change the temperature at all either. All of the kids had their coats on. I had my jacket on as well. The thermostat was nowhere to be seen. I even called the custodian and he had not answered. It was so cold that it was probably not good for all of us to be in there during the day. I felt like I was going to get sick from being so cold all day long. Everywhere else in the building it was rather warm. I think that they need to figure out their heating and cooling situation. This room may need its own separate thermostat to control it if it was always going to be that cold in the classroom. I was really close to calling an HVAC technician to come help me to be more comfortable in the classroom that day. However, that would not be very acceptable from the building administrator. I hope I do not sub in that room again anytime soon because I do not think that I would be able to handle it very well.

I have tried really hard lately to get my house ready for family to visit. It seems like everytime I try to do something, something else goes wrong. Just recently I was trying to clean the house. As I was cleaning the house, I noticed that the HVAC system stopped working. The house was getting really warm. I thought it was just me at first doing all the cleaning. However, it was the house just getting really warm. I looked to the thermostat and tried to turn the air conditioning on. I tried everything and after that I called an HVAC business. I had to call them because I could not get anything to work at all. They arrived at my house the exact same day. When they showed up I led the HVAC professional right to the HVAC unit to the back of the house. When I got them there, they realized that there was a crack in the refrigerant tank. The refrigerant tank had leaked all of the refrigerant out. There was nothing to help the air to be cold. So the system was putting warm air right into the house now. He had to replace the entire refrigerant tank. He also replaced the refrigerant inside. After he did this, we turned the system back on. We found that it was working well again! I could feel the cool air. However, I was behind in getting ready for the family to visit! Hopefully I would be able to finish cleaning in time. This whole refrigerant problem has really set me back but am thankful for the service I needed.

The house has been needing to be renovated for a long time now.

My husband works in construction so he could do all of it. However, I really just wanted to redo the bathroom and the kitchen. We ultimately would have to take it slow. The first thing we did was replace the HVAC system. We had it for about 25 years and we could tell it was not nearly as efficient as it used to be. Our energy bills were going up each month. The amount of warm or cool air we would feel would feel less each year. It never broke down but we could tell that it was wearing down. We used to have a central air system. Since we were renovating the house, we decided to install something new. The HVAC professionals came to the house and installed a ductless mini split system. This system eliminates the use of air ducts. I no longer needed the air ducts to give off heating or cooling into my home. We did not want the extra dust it was put into our homes and the air ducts were a waste of money to replace at that point. Once we had the system installed, we could tell the major difference in our home. It was so completely different in terms of the air that we had felt. It felt so much warmer and cooler. We weren’t setting our thermostat as high or as low. The energy bills went way down. I was happy with this change in the house alone. Everything else will seem like extra now.

There is really not much I could say about my home.

I have an average home that I do enjoy being at. I love it in the summer and in the winter. It keeps us comfortable at all times and that is what I like about it. The best part is the fireplace we had installed. We do have a furnace installed, however, we felt that we needed something more. We felt that during the winter it would be nice to have an extra heat source. It would also be nice to just have something to cozy up to for the holiday season. We called our local HVAC business about it last year. We had wondered how much it would cost, and if it could even be installed. Of course they made it happen for us. It was not even as expensive as I thought it might have been. The heat we get from the fireplace is like no other. In fact, I think it works better than our furnace. We even pay less money to use the fireplace. However, it is unable to heat our upstairs or else we would probably leave the heat off altogether to be honest. If you have ever thought about installing a fireplace into your home, I would highly suggest it. It will add a lot of heat to your home for less of a cost. The HVAC professionals were very professional and got the job done fast. That is what I had really liked about the entire thing. Don’t wait to start making a heating difference in your home!

My dad has consistently talked about getting an old RV plus renovating it to his standards.

• His plan was that when he retired, he would have plenty of time to start this project! First, he would have to find an RV that was of appropriate size plus condition to do what he wanted with it.

He found a big RV that needed some work. He spent a few hours a afternoon doing repairs to the RV. When everything was up to his standards, he decided it was time the add the a/c unit. He went to the local household improvement store plus asked the air conditioner experts which one would be best for the RV. He ended up purchasing an air conditioner unit similar to what they use on boats. The air conditioner was perfect for the size of the RV. He would not use it until they were sleeping in the RV, so it did not need to be anything too extravagant. He was legitimately satisfied with the a/c unit he put in the RV. He plus my mom were able to travel the country plus sleep in the RV comfortably. On one of their trips, the air conditioner stopped working. Because they are able to go somewhere in the RV, they just drove north until the weather was cooler. This was a temporary fix to their problem. When they returned home, they were able to have the air conditioner repaired. It was an simple fix plus the unit lasted another year before it needed to be fully replaced.
